Timing on a 302

    Thanks to everyone for the help, what is the best timing setting for a stock 2v 1972 302? Ours looks to be around 10 BTC.

    10 is fine if it's not experiencing any "knocking" (pre-detonation)...

    i know alot that run them at 12. 10 degrees is the factory setting i believe

    6* is the factory setting. I run 12*, but I am at high altitude and don't have super high compression...

    you're correct. it's the BOSS 302 that has a base timing of 10* :)
