That all depends on the height of your tire, and the backspacing on your wheel
I run 28x11's on my car (the 11'' is just the flat part of the tire, not the "sidewall curve")
But they stick out the side of the car about an inch due to the backspacing of the wheel.
Im going to experiment but the widest i've seen is 28x10.5 that didn't stick out the side and that was w/ some centerline wheels that mavman had.
I'll ask him the backspacing when i talk to him again

Not only do you need to think of b/s, width, and/or offset... but you must think of rim diameter too.
I have seen 275/60/15s on Mavs, but it is hard to make them look good IMO, and the backspace needs to be 'just so' or you have scrub problems.
255/60/15s are about the largest that look good IMO. You still need the right b/s to get them in there.
I can't stand cars with the rubber sticking out of the wheel wells. Some folks like it though, you see it all the time.

my 275/60/15s were tucked inside the fenders, but I had to get creative on the inside of the wheelwells. that was on cragars with 4 1/4 backspacing I've found the best is 3 3/4 for that tire size, but the rear of my car is a bit higher than stock.

I agree on them sticking out the sides
Mines not noticable from the side really, but from the front you can tell a bit
But considering the slicks/rims where free Im running them. And its just a drag car anyways

I run the same as Ray and mine are tucked. 4 7/8bs 15 x 8.5 centerline.

Ray, picked up the edlebrock rpm heads on ebay today for less than a grand.. Getting excited!

    Swwweeet Scotty!
One day we've got to get these twin hot rods of ours together.
I'm planning on going to 275/50r15 drag radials this year to match my 26 x 11.5 slicks.
My goal this year is not necissarily to go faster, but to get the front wheels off the ground. I'm predicting a broken rear end this season.

LOL! Already did that! Now I am looking to twist an axle with the powertrax unit in! Thinking of aftermarket axles with studs this year. Opps, did we highjack this thread?
