    HiYa, :bananaman

    I'm new here and glad to be here with y'all. Gotta question please;

    Is a maverick supposed to be towed by the front or back ? It's only two-wheel drive, 1975 base model.

    Thanxs !

    Welcome !!!

    The back .....unless its a stick shift or auto with the drive shaft taken out. Automatics don't have fluid flow unless the engine is running so the trans will burn up if you go any distance towing by the front with automatic .

    I would say the distance would be 60 miles.
