Ok guys I am looking for a vaccum diagram for a 200 motor with a/c, I had taken her in for emmissions today and she had failed. I have only tonight to get this figured out. They stated that the hydrocarbons read 1194 idle and under load it read 221 which is passing and the carbon monoxide read 8.55 at idle and 1.98 under load neith was passing. I have adjusted the timing, changed the plugs, catalytic converter is good evap system is good. the only thing I can think of is the vaccum is missed up. I have inclosed some pics of the engine.

I have this one but it dosent include any ac. I drew it from an unmolested 76 with a 250.

    Mavaholic,

Thanks for the reply, I hope this will help so I can get the emmission done on it before my temp tag expires.

How do you know the cat. is good?
One trick I may or may not have any knowledge of is pull a plug wire and run it around the block just before it goes on the dyno. Hook the wire back up and run it. I believe it gets the cat really hot and and improves its efficiency. Or so I hear. It can be risky though as the cat gets pretty hot. I dont suggest anyone do this I just hear it works. :naughty::)

You need an emissions test for a 1975 car??? What happened to land of the free?? I thought our laws were over the top. Our emissions test is every 2 years or ownership transfer on 1988 or newer vehicles. We rarely have a failure.

A good cat will come when you call its name. :yup:

A bad catalytic converter...put your hand over the exhaust tip and feel if it has little pressure. A good converter will have good flow.
