I thought someone else might be interested in this controller.I just purchased one to use on my 70 Maverick with a Lincoln Mark VIII electric fan unit. They were very helpful in answering my questions and explaining how it all works.

I would be interested in hearing what others think. This might be the answer to some of the cooling problems that seem to pop up.The variable speed reduces fan noise along with more accurate sensing of coolant temperature. The thermal stresses on our engines using the standard on till it hits a high temp. and off when it hits a low temp.makes perfect sense. This unit controls temperature to a narrower range, which reduces those stresses.

I'm going to give it test.

I'm using a flex-a-lite fan with the fan thermostat set at 185 degrees, although the motor has a little more hp than a stock 302, I don't have A/C or PS, it manages to hold the temp between 180 -190.
I agree that if your thermostat has a wide differential the premise the device is based on is good.
