Printed. I found a screw-up after I got the last form printed. Its going to require some MAJOR changes in the bindery process, but its getting closer to completion.
Sounds good John after 30 plus years in the printing field i know how that goes seems like mistakes are always found when they are almost impossible to fix anything fixable is better than a complete rerun i guess have had some where a rerun would have been easyer. Good Luck
that does it!!!!! i HAVE to move out of new jersey...all you printers still in jobs! us jersey printers are out of jobs... too expensive to do printing here. cheaper in the south and midwest!
Yeah, we are working 6 days a week also. That might have something to do with the mistake. Everyone who has worked on it does so IF/WHEN they get a free moment. Just a little insight on what happend. It may seem pettie to you all, but for me, it made my stomach churn last night! If you look at last years calendar, when it is opened up, you will see that the pictures are on top and the months are on the bottom, the 2004 was layed out wrong and the pictures and months a swapped. It does NOT look right, at all. So what I am going to do is: I am gonna cut all the pictures and months down to individual pieces, then hand essemble(coilated) them, the punch a "spiral" holes in the and spiral bind the calendar. So, it will be a lot better quality product from a binding point. The only bad thing now is that my front cover and back cover are screwed up. But, once you hang it on the wall that will not be seen and the cars WILL BE on top and the months(with holidays ) will be on the bottom. I am going to cut it tonight and then start the coilating process, it might......."might" be ready as early as next Tuesday or wednesday. Thanks and later.
Yes, I can mail them anywhere, I just need to be reminded when they are shipping out of the country, if I do not fill out that "customs" form, they WILL NOT let it go!!! I think there is some "mountie" in Canada with a Maverick calendar!
work is slim here in pittsburgh for printers as well, there are a few companys, but most are really crappy to work in.. i could probably find a printing job if i relocated, but i like pittsburgh (although sometimes i wonder why)
Most of our printing is for SONY( Playstation game booklets) we do some XBOX, GameCube, Panasonic and alot of DVD covers. When it gets close to Christmas time we get covered up.......gotta get them shelves stocked for all the good little boys and girls!!!
Got it cut tonight! Just need to coilate and spiral bind. I think Wednesday of next week is possible.
