Well i have had to replace about 4 batterys since i have bought this car. I have replaced the alternater the start the volt regulater and the solenoid also. And yet the alt light seems to stay on and i cant figure out why. I thought maybe that i had the wires mixed but i bought a book about maverick and it shows how the wires run and i believe that i have them hook up as soon but the light still stays on. Does anyone have a clue of what i need to do to fix my problem.
If the harness that plugs into the regulator is faulty or has a bad connection your alternator light will go on ...
My 77 did that, I cleaned all connections pertaining to alternator and voltage regulator. Solved problem. Dan
