So as I am working on my A/C. I am thinking of tinting my windows with 3M's crystalline tint 70%. It looks clear but blocks out heat as much as a limo tint. And can be installed on the windshield.
As I am not into the dark look tinted windows on old cars. They just don't look right to me. But clear tint would work wonders.

Here is an example in looks.

And their web site to explain

But it is expensive! Costs around $600 to $1000 for all windows.
I know sounds crazy of me since I am trying to sell the car. But might as well keep toying with it till I sell it.

    So what are your thoughts?

That is neat stuff! I wonder if it could be applied to the front windshield. My truck has a big windshield and it gets pretty warm..
    What car are you selling?

    reads like a great product...
I wonder how reflective it is on the inside. I did the back glass on my 2 dr. truck and at night the dash lights reflected from the back glass, back onto the windshield. the cars you meet, their headlights would reflect off of the back glass onto the inside of the windshield and blind me. when you looked into the rear view mirror all you could see was...the dash lights, nothing through the tint..this was 35% tint.

the link also said..."check your state to see if it is legal"...:yup:

Good point on seeing if your state is legal. It is here in NV.
I don't know how reflective it is. Maybe I can find someone out here with it on their car and see it.

Thanks for telling us about this. It is legal in Arizona and I found a dealer 3 miles from my house. Will be taking my son's 74 over within the next month then my work truck!

Will do. Have to wait till my son wakes up and discuss if he wants clear or smoked glass. Either way we will keep it legal and the windshield will be done in the clear.
