Ok folk,im in the beginning stages of lookig to make a Grabber 2 1/2 inch cowl fibreglass hood .The Guy i talked to today is Ken owner of ( Token fibreglass proformance parts ) he has been a active volunteer and racer at Mission Raceway for 20 years. He said he could build a mold from my hood using it as a plug and said the quality would be 2nd to none. The hood would be made so you could use your factory hinges and hood latch, would not warp at all even sitting in the heat all day long and would wieght less than 24 lbs.Ken said he uses nothing but the best cloth fibre and resin and the hood would look as good as it did when new, 8 years later. The price will be 550 .00 a hood and he needs a min of 5 hoods sold to build a mold and make them . My hood will be painted by this Sunday and i will give pics of the finished hood for all to see on this thread. Really i just need to sell three more as i would buy two for myself.Jimmy:Handshake

Sounds very interesting. I would need to see one first though. I don't live far from you so I could drive up there and check it out sometime. I just need to know where you are in Abotsford. I know the area a little.

Would I be able to put the chrome hood trim on the hood? I want it to look like an original metal hood....

Good Question Coop, ill look into it ,But if i was a gambling man and i some times am ,i would say im pretty sure you can. Im going to put my chrome hood trim on even if i have to drill the holes in the fibreglass and put stainless steel sheet metal screws in ,i will ask Ken who builds them your question.
