Just use your regular gaskets on the carb plate. Especially since you have a new plate. I wouldn't use any type of goo unless you were maybe trying to fill up some imperfections of some kind but in my 30 years of mechanic experience I have always installed my carburetors with a dry gasket...and have never seen anyone else do anything different.
