The problem is, after I put the 72 Comet rear end in my 63 Ranchero the Left side clears the inside fender just finer but the right side is rubbing the fender and thats with the deepest inset wheels I could find. The leaf spring pads line up perfectly but I'm screwed because the axel is not symetrical. I guess the leaf spring in a Meveric are offset- that seems strange to me. jared .......................... There is no offset with the Mav/Comet mountings. The distance from the spring pad to the backing plate should be the same both sides. If the distance from the drive shaft centerline to the backing plate is different each side, Any differences,then I would think you have some other rear like a 4 wheel drive. Just some thoughts on the matter. |
