A friend of mine is restoring '34 Ford coupe. He had converted to power brakes on the car. He has used the power booster and master cylinder from a late '80's/early 90's Plymouth Laser, which came from the factory with 10" brakes. This unit is signifcantly smaller (diameter and thickness) than the Granada units I have seen and will even fit in my '74 Maverick with little problem. He claims that I can by a correct length pedal-to-booster rod to use my existing pedal assembly. Does anyone here think that this booster will be effective in stopping my car (if I choose to do this conversion)? I am not thrilled about putting a Chrysler product on my car, but, I would love to have power brakes. Any other suggestions?
