I wouldn't chain anything down-just me. Years ago when I was concerned about things like 1/8, 1/4 and 60 ft. times- I made a set of the underride traction bars fit,like the ones Shelby GT's came with. They worked quite well. If you are unfamiliar with these, the front of the bar is welded to the chassis, I had a L-shaped tab welded and bolted it to the bar. See Tony Branda's Mustang/Shelby site for pics or others, of these bars-they are less than $100 last time I saw any.
