You could also have a bad wheel cylinder inside one of the drums.

I've had that problem with my 58 chevy [and you think your parts are hard to get!] and it's my wheel cylinder. Look behind the back of your tires and see if they are wet with break fluid. if they are you are in dangerous waters! My 58 was built before they started installing a break fluid idiot light so if my fluid is low i don't know until the brakes begin to stop working! So i have to check my break fluid regularly. In my 71 comet i have an idiot light which has saved me when my master cylinder went bad. Hey i prefer gauges anyday of the week but i wouldn't give up my brake idiot light for nuthin' [that is unless somone comes out with a [reliable] brake fluid gauge].
Does anyone know if there is such a thing?
