Rick B.
..Loosen (only) front lug nuts.
..Jack and place car on jack stands behind front wheels.
..Remove wheels. Remove the roll bar links.
..Loosen top and bottom balljoint nuts.
..Back them off about 1/4".
..Turning the steering to lock for right turn if working on the left side, Take a heavy hand hammer and rap hard on the side of the taper where the balljoints passes through both top and bottom checking with taps on the joint stud ends to see when they go free. The nuts will hold them on. Or you can use a pickel bar.
..When there free, hang the whole assembly out of the way or remove the brake hose and remove.
..Remove shocks. Two bolts on top, two bolts on bottom and take out.
..The lower end of the spring will be under a little pressure and can be removed with a bar if your careful but you will need a compressor to put spring back in so can use one to take it out also.
..Remove lower control arm strut rods and bolt assembly at frame location.
..In engine bay, low on the shock tower are the mounting nuts that hold the upper control arm in.
.Reverse the procedure upon re-install.
