As a last resort, I have a set of 351W 4V exhaust manifolds that look like the 289 Hi-po set. They are used on Mustangs as a "poor man's" hi-po set, as they are 1/3 the cost of the real hi-po's. These would be $110 + shipping and they are the C9 part #. They give you a good flow and you can port them a bit and get close to the header power. At least these may be something that will fit and eliminate the clearance problem. And a lot cheaper than the $400 headers.
