 Hey everybody. I have a '74 Maverick with a 302. The hi pressure power steering hose is leaking like a bastard. I took it into a shop and they told me that it takes a 2-piece hose (Lordco sells them) but mine is only one piece. I figure that the old owner replaced it and just put in a single piece. Does any one know what the hell is going on?

If it really is 2-pieces, what goes in-between them?
If there is something in there, I don't have one. Problem? Where would I get one?

Unfortuneatly, in western Canada, the maverick is pretty much forgotten, so no one can realy give me an answer.

I think what happened is that the car used to be a 6 cyl. The 6 cyl came with a one piece hose and the V-8 with 2 pieces. I don't know why Ford did this but that is how my 77, w/250, is set up. My 74 donor, w/302, had the 2 hoses.
