Auburn works great on the street. 3.55 gears is what runs good too. If you've never done a gear setup, just pull the third member out and take the Auburn and new gears, bearings to a shop that'll do it, and let them set it up. A few critical measurements that have to be done to make it right.

I'm running a 302 V8 (warmed slightly ) and need to get some kind of locking differental on my '76 Two door Maverick. I have an 8" (I think, bolts on the pumpkin are on the front) with 5 lug axles. My axle code indicates a 2.79:1 ratio on the rear

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good locking diff that is quite? I'm using this car for street/show so I can't use a spool.

How hard are these to install?

Any help would be appreciated!
