I priced one at NAPA, they want $60. Wouldn't mind saving $45.

:=A flexplate will only cost you $15 or so at the parts store. I usually replace mine whenever I do an engine change, just to aviod pulling the engine again after it breaks a tooth.

Jim, all the different sixes and eights operate at different balance values. Donnot mix the flexplates. If you are hooking up to a C4 auto trans, a 157 tooth 302 plate is needed. Results of imbalance is huge vibration and shake. For example a 302 and a 5L engine cannot use the same plate for this reason, even though both are the same displacement.
There are exceptions only if custom applications are being put togather.
