We run 15x8's with 3.5" of backspacing on 255/60's. No clearance problems at all. For slicks we use the same size wheel with Mickey Thompson 28x9" slicks. They actual only measure 27" tall. On a worn out suspension, the slicks do come close to the fender. We used a set of the heavy duty leaf springs from the Mav.Connection.
