Answers to questions:
1. I am running a c4 tranny rebuilt with heavy duty kevlar bands and clutches. Currently it has a 2500 stall but I need to go to at least a 3000. When I built the tranny I had a milder engine in mind

2. I have Hedman 1 5/8 ceramic coated headers. These are the second set of hedmans I've used and both fit perfect.

3. I didn't delete the shock towers. If I was building a race only car I might have or if I was using a 351 then definitley. Since the engine is still the same size as a 302 I see no reason to cut the towers unless you want to tube frame the car.

4. The rear end is a 9" made by Currie. It has 31 spline heavy duty axle shafts, heavy duty housing, Auburn Posi and 3.89 gears. There are pics of the axle at my other site, linked below. The axle was ordered and delivered ready to boly in.

SOme advice I'd give? Decide which way you want to go, race or street. My car is too racey to be driven on the street too much and has too much street equipment to be as fast as it should. I could lose quite a bit of weight and gain a couple tenths if I removed the interior and the stereo from the trunk. Stereo is the only thing I don't have pics of, I have a custom box and amp enclosures in the trunk.

I also would have had th cage put in before doing the interior. And should have installed a main stud girdle. If you didn't already buy your stroker kit, make sure you don't buy from Probe or Coast High Perf. Their original kit is good but trying to get replacement parts from them was a pain in the ass.

Looks great!

I have a feeling you're going to be running quicker than 11's. High or mid 10's, I suspect (with slicks and gas).

I too have a 347 (I'm putting in a '70), so I'm definetely interested in a few things if you have a minute:

1) Which tranny and what stall (rpm and mfg) are you going to run?
2) Which headers did you use?
3) I couldn't tell for sure from the pics, did you do the 'shock delete'? If not, would you in retrospect?
4) Which rear end and gears do you have?
5) Is there anything you'd advise someone who is doing the same swap?

Much appreciated,
