I went to yabbforum.com to take a look at the system requirments. YABB is a cgi based forum that does not use a database and these types of forums are resource intensive. Vbulletin is written in PHP and uses Mysql as a database.
If you go take a look at the Ford Six website and click the forum link to the Performance board, you'll see that it's running on YaBB software, which is free, open source software.
It's fairly easy to use and set up. It's downloadable free at their site and the only requirement is to keep their name at the bottom as the source.
