All I ever used was an old bottle-top opener with some black electrical tape wrapped around the large, rounded end and just worked my way along the length of the chrome. If you take your time, it will pop right off.
To re-install the chrome, just line it up with the lip and lightly tap onto it with a rubber hammer or the butt of your hand. I have used this method several times on my own car. The same will work with the door frame moulding, just take a little more care as this moulding is a little wider. Good Luck! Paul |
