Drip Rail Trim Removal - Howzit done?

Hi gang! I'm getting ready to fix some minor rust on my drip rails and need to remove the chrome trim on the rail to have it re-chromed. Has anyone done this? Do I need special tools? How hard is it? Thanks in advance for the help!
