Disc Brake Pedals??

Seems like I remember someone saying that the Maverick disc brake pedal is different from the Drum brake pedal... And that if you swap to discs you need to use the "disc"pedal or your pedal will be too high up. Is this correct or are the pedals the same? Thanks M.A.V.
