Yep, they are a bit different. I changed from 6cyl drum brakes to V8 manual disc, and the pedal was way up. I put the V8 pedal in, and it was fine. The power brakes need the brace and pedal assy to work well, so be sure to get them if you use power brakes. Don't know if the master cyl rod is the cause of the pedal being too high, but the disc pedal is about 1 1/4" longer than the 6cyl pedal. Hope this helps. Earl
