yes, in stock form, the clevelands will make more power than a stock windsor, because of the clevelands cylinder head design. But, if you want room to grow, get a windsor...I'm presently working on a windsor swap right now, and it's not as hard to do as everybody says it is, the hardest part is the headers, which there are several choices to choose from. The only problem with my particular swap was that noone makes headers for this application that will work with my particular transmission, and the ones I've seen listed have primary tubes that are too small for my horsepower level. A cleveland can be built to run, but the expense is more than that of a comparable windsor, to a certain extent. In my case, I was running 7.0's in the 1/8 with a "mild" 302, but I need more consistency, that's why I switched to the trans I'm using, and a 302 would have a harder time pulling the higher low gear ratio, due to it's inherent lack of torque. Hopefully, I will get it into the low 6's in the 1/8 at around 107-110 mph if all goes well. They will both make the same power, just the C costs a bit more to build if you want more later on, not to mention parts availability. Everybody and their brother makes W parts now, so it seems the logical choice.
