I wouldn't be surprised if they put one behind the FEs. I know the C-6 was designed for the FEs due to the torque issue.
The C-4s that fit the 351/400Ms and 429/460s were installed behind 351Ms until they found out that the C-4 wouldn't handle the torque either, in stock factory form. If you know of a 351M C-4 bellhousing I sure would like to get my hands on it. ...................... The following cars were fitted with the C4 and 351M. 75-76 Torino, Montego, Cougar... 77-78-79 LTDII, Thunder Bird, Cougar There would be no garrentee which engine would be found in any of these cars meaning 351w or 351m. Whichever line the cars were assembled on at the time. I was lucky once in that buying a new Ranchero, I got 351C but the trans was an FMX. Luck in finding one. Ken |
