Chris; you've asked a loaded question. First of all, the Maverick is worth what you are going to put into it, unless it is wrecked, rusted, or in generally bad shape. These cars are gaining in interest, which in turn means value. The headers you need are available through Jegs, or any of the parts houses. Just get them for a '73 Mav with a V-8. You will need to put the shifter on the floor, unless you get the Hooker Super Competition headers, which are very expensive. A good carb and manifold can be gotton used for a reasonable price at swap meets, junk yards, or by asking on this board, as a rule. I got an ignition system, carb and manifold for $150. Exhaust is not a problem. Any good muffler shop can weld up a set of 2.25" pipes with chrome tips, and at a reasonable price, I hope.

Hope this helps. Again, all the parts and things you asked about are available. Just have to do some leg work. How much you spend for them is up to you.

Earl
