The Comet GT hood scoop is the same as the Cougar Eliminator
scoop 69-70 and the Cyclone used the same scoop on some cars 68-69 including the Cale Yarborough and Dan Gurney Cyclones. All were non-functional according to my literature on the above cars. I looked at making mine functional with Ram- air breather with vacuum operations-decided to leave my Comet GT hood as it came when I saw prices and thought about clearance and fit issues. I have seen crappy looking jagged holes cut in to hoods- depends on what you want. There are some similar scoops available in aftermarket-but taller ones like the Boss 429 scoops is all I have seen.
