I'm not the best one to answer but it look like I'm the only one so far. If my memory is right then the stripes go on last, after you put on the clearcoat. Give the paint a week or two to set before you put on the decals. If you were to paint clearcoat over them I'm not sure how well the paint would stick. If you are going for the 71 grabber look the hood is painted, you would need to get a stencil. I once saw a guy put some decals on his rice burner, he put water on the spot first so that he could position the decals without them sticking before he applied pressure. I don't know if this is the best way to put them on, the guy is pretty stupid, I kinda wonder if the adhesive breaks down in water. Good luck on the mav, take lots of pictures.
