Grabber Stripes

Hi All, I was wondering what the correct way is to put new Grabber Stripes on. I will get a paintjob during the summer, after the engine and body work is done, but I was wondering how the Grabber Stripes go on. Would they be put under the clearcoat? Any recommendations?
