With the car running the voltage should show somewhere around 14.0-14.5 volts.

I've read where some people have actually used the 4ug axles by getting them re-drilled. I personally would rather change out the entire rear end....
Mine is stock....ish too. Of course we know all Shelby Mavericks came with a 347.
