302 alternator help

    Does the rear of the alternator screw into the head with a spacer or is their a bracket used. Also it appears a early 289/302 bracket will not work because of the offset built into the bracket. Would any bracket off a 70 model car or truck work?

    there are ones with brackets that mount to the head...and there are alternators that use just a spacer...

    on mine.. i have the long banana bracket on top, a small backet on the bottom... and it screws into the head with a 2.5" spacer
