    hi all,i'll soon be running a 79 302,bored 40 over,e7te heads with a recent valve job,(stock springs)pete jackson gear drive,edel.performer intake,and a edel.1406 600 carb,trw cast alum.pistons(flat top),c-4 w/a shift kit b&m 2300 stall.crank,rods,etc.will remain stock(for now)i need help with cam info.i came across one that states:
    melling p/n 24203 duration at.050 int.214 exh.224.advertised duration:int.290,exh.300.valve lift,int.472 exh 496.center lobe int.107 exh.117.classII fair idle,good low to midrange torque.power range:1700-5200.
will this be a decent cam for what i will be using?car will be used more for cruising than anything, maybe a trip down the track for fun.looking for a good rumpity rump cam that won't kill the stock springs, and total drivability.any help or suggestions, brands or specs is highly appreciated.drive safe, chuck.

Why not get the Performer + cam that matches the intake? Just so happens I'm taking mine out this week, got new heads, cam, intake. I'll sell it to you for $20 + shipping if you want to try it. You can even have the lifters, I have them marked as to which cam lobe they each mate to and wouldn't need broken in, although it might be better buying new ones from Summit for $40.

I used that exact grind on a very similar combo and it worked very well. The idle isnt going to be very rough and its driveability was good. excelent cam!!

    Barry,
This is Boss9, Inline6's brother. He's having a hard time logging onto the board. He's interested in the cam. You can e-mail him at jamesdean@ncweb.com.
    Thanks, Darrel
