I've looked on here a few different times, checked out most of not all the Ls swaps on here. I see everyone does delete or mod there stock shock towers, but can a lsx fit with stock shock towers in a maverick?

I ask because I'm going to run full ridetech coilovers on my 70, so I'll still have shock towers.
    Thanks

The engine's basically the same size as a 351, so yeah, it'll fit. The problem is finding an exhaust system that will. I can tell you for sure, when you get older, you will do anything within reason to make a swap easy to work on, hence the shock tower delete. I can swap all my plugs in less than 10 minutes. OTOH, the turbo 6 (Grand National) S-10 I built 16 years ago is akin to a jigsaw puzzle. Nearly everything in that engine compartment has to come out in a certain order, or it won't. Plug changes are over an hour for six. I dread even opening the hood now...

Thanks for the up front answer!! Over all for an auto cross / track car, I think a lsx is the best bang for the buck, Just trying to sort out all the stuff before I start this build
