Hello! I have been switching parts from one maverick to another and while doing the rear bumper swap I found these parts that I wasn't aware of. They look to me as "lower rear bumper fillers" and they sure are but the questions are: Are these aftermarket? Are they part of the Grabber spoiler?

I also noticed that the bumper brackets are different, pushing the bumper back a little more than usual. I attached a picture of the car and another where I sort of found the same pushed out rear bumper.

Interesting! So any '73 right? I ask because it had a Grabber spoiler when I bought it, but I removed it before I took the picture.

Whats interesting is that we bolted the 72 bumpers with the 72 brackets right onto our 73 and it's a great fit, only the most discerning eye would notice it, take a look View attachment 92712 View attachment 92712

are those aftermarket shakles on the the leaf springs and if so do they really make a difference in how the rear end of sits in height

I honestly don't know, the car's suspension is as the day we brought it home, also under there are coil overs on the rear, I don't know what brand or anything else other than I was surprised to see coil overs back there, I'll snap a pic soon and post for ya'll pros to figure out;)

one thing that crossed my mind since you mentioned the shackles is maybe the leaf springs are weak in rear and shackles were a first attempt at gaining back some clearence then the coil overs pushed it on up:huh:

Ya usually shackles are the cheapest fix for sagging leafs, I was wanting to put shackles under mine for the time till I can afford to buy the 4 leaf setup
