Just thought I would post a couple pics of my son's car since we got it running and he is driving it to and from school, we are in the middle of the small bumper conversion as you see and his sparky little motor with it's new Street Demon Poly 625 cfm on it, we went for a drive earlier and boy he doesn't want me to drive it or at least he doesn't want me punching it, it's "Dad, that's my gas, it's gotta last until next Friday or you can fill it up if you use up my gas hot rodding" LMAO, I would have never thought I would hear a 17 year old male telling his Dad not to be rodding his Hot Rod....... photo (27).JPG photo (25).JPG photo (26).JPG photo (30).JPG

LOL, yes it is, at his request, can you believe that? I jokingly said to him while we were assembling the motor that he needed an AHOOGA horn thinking he would say yeah Dad, maybe when I'm old like you, but instead he replied "that would be so cool", I just installed that horn a week ago as a surprise, he love's it.

    looking great.
one thing, that style air filter is really restrictive. the foam ends up breaking down and getting sucked in the motor. also one little back fire will melt the foam and make it even more restrictive. im not sure why edelbrock even sells them still.

Now I appreciate that info, and in thinking about it I should have known better but it claimed to flow 1000 or 1100 cfm, be washable and reuseable (a sales pitch akin to making you think of K&N which are very reputable), off it comes tomorrow...Big Thanks:urock:

Who's idea was it to put the "StreetRod" emblem on the fender?

The breather is coming off, the disty works well for now, I'm taking a break from spending and the whole MSD-6AL-2 is nearly $800, as for the horn....well the kiddo likes it;)

Just curious; will the car be lowered at all? I'm assuming that removing the weight of the big front bumper let the car raise up a bit.

Actually that car sit up in the front even with the big bumper, not sure if it has oversize springs or what, must have. But yes we are going to lower it.
