I have been working on a restoring a GT comet and trying to get things back together. I just did my first ever headliner and it came out pretty nice. So now I want to tackle doing the windshield and backglass. I have done many windows before but nothing this old that uses a seal like this. I have been reading about mustangs and how 90% of people have leaks with their glass. Some say to inject sealer first, some say to do it after, some say follow fords suggestions, same say to alter it. Has anyone done glass on a comet or maverick and not had leaks? Any suggestions of which method I should use or type of materials?
i wait untill i have the glass installed and "seated" into the seal, then i go back with sealer and run a bead between the glass and the seal, then run another bead of sealer between the seal and the body of the car. so far, no leaks
