That's because you installed it upside down. If you would have installed it right side up the torque would be transferred towards the ground...

I would assume the difference in heads are the height of the exhaust ports. I have never set a stock set of heads next to an aftermarket...
How much room is there between your passenger side header and the strut tower at the closest point? Does the engine torque over far enough to touch?
I would have figured you would,have made them equal length and longer. Yours look right and you added clearance by moving the strut tower outward....
They do make them. I have a set. They are weld in.
I used dyna mat then a layer of dyna liner.
