I subscribe to the Canadian theory. My 72 (250 six) was built in Canada. The fuel line is in front of the shock tower. Tom
Well, it is a good theory, and I am not trying to prove anyone wrong, but both of our Mavs say that they were built in the USA (on the data sticker on the door jam) and they both have the fuel line in front of the tower. How do I explain this if the fuel in front was a Canadian thing? One of our cars is a factory V8 car, and the other is a factory 250 car. They are both 73 two doors. -Corbin
v8 fuel line Pegasus, The fuel line in the original '76 v8 mav is rubber (from where it enters the engine bay to the fuel pump). Sorry I have no other details b/c I already yanked the v8 out and dropped in the I6 from my other maverick. Also, i believe it is american made (vin 6k92f166152). P.S. I'll be away from my computer for a week or so, so I will be unable to respon 'till then Dan
the 250 six front springs are stronger than the v-8 springs so if it was a 250 car then front springs will be great
I had a 250 car with AC, and when I swapped out to V8 springs (302 w/ac) my car sat about 3/4" higher in front. Maybe the 250 w/ac springs have a higher rate than 302 w/o AC.
Hehehe.... Stirring this pot again.... My 70 Grabber I just got has the fuel line in front of the shock tower. It was made in Kansas City and has a 200...... -Corbin
