Who was it that had to ride out the storm under the easy-up that blew away? Gene on the hood maybe someone lives near it to help save time on your side trip. Not coming from John Chandler by chance?
lol.. Had to be Matt or Rando.. I am needing to get it from Stephen.. CometGT1974. Shows to be in Fairview North Carolina. It's a fiberglass Comet hood. Looks like 4.5 hrs or about 250 miles one way to the gathering. .. He is not sure he will be able to make it.. Stephen has been kind enough to keep storeing it untill then for me. If I don't make it to the gathering I guess the money I woulda spent taking a vacation will be spent on shipping .
I mentioned your hood to Effie. She suggested that we could pick it up on the way home from my Moms. she lives about 100 miles East of Stephen (Sanford) and we are going to visit her the weekend before the Gathering. it will have to ride on top of this to the Gathering... ...will that be a problem... ......
That is very generous of you two. I am still not 100% sure I will make it. I won't know for about a month. I need to see how my taxes turn out.. I am concerned also about the trouble it would be for you. Trying to tie it down and then driving with it acting like a sail or something.. I don't know how stiff the hood is either. It could be flimsy or something. I was thinking about showing up without my current hood and mounting this one so it wouldn't be laying on things.. Where do you live in relation to the gathering? Would it be easier for me to come there if you did get it?
