3" or 3.5" driveshaft? what fits.

    Once you factor in vehicle purpose, driving style, drivetrain power levels, gears, tire size/compounds, etc, etc... there is a distinct trend. Manu of the guys who've raced and watched it for the last 30 years will clearly see the trend.

    I've seen tons of undersized stock stuff twisted, broken, and shredded. That's why the aftermarket exists.

    Shorter, lighter shafts can take a bit more stress though.. so, there's that too.

    I had a steel one cut and welded for my ...Gearvender overdrive...setup.
