SEM makes a good adhesion promoter and vinyl dye that works well on plastics and vinyl and it is rated for seating surfaces... ...if you don't want red.

If those seats came out of a 75, 76, or a 77, you may have an issue with the passenger side seat rail, the passenger side floor is different in those years, compared to your car.
Nothing really, you'll need to find a set of passenger side bucket seat rails. The 76 and up ones are totally different.
ok so i got back to the maverick and i got the rust out of it and i will put the pic of waht i have done and as the for the seats i had that came out the 77 comet i built the seat rails for the seat and thay fit i have got some bob cats mtrhed :Handshakethat will be on there soon
some stuffi did friday nighti got my windsheild . but now my doors leaks now i got all of the rust out i could and hit it w some rust away primer/enemal and i stared my car and it is runinglike crap i will have a vid up in a bit
I suppose rivets better than nothing. But my gut feeling is weld it. I suppose some automotive adhesive and rivets might work. I know it wud save some work in covering and/or removing things in the interior to keep the welding sparks/slag frm ruining carpet, etc. I think the adhesive might be an alternative. I might try it myself as soon as the weather warms enough to get in the garage.
is the brace important y i ask is im going to remove the braces and weld a steele plate and what was the adhesive called?
