Yes Dennis, it is Ed Bennett (JR).

I stand corrected on the chrome plating. I'll have to pass Vern's along to any of my customers who are looking for plating services. I'm a firm believer in "word of mouth advertising".

As for the NOS boomerangs, I am serious that I will pay $200 for an NOS set in the original Ford Boxes! Just drop me a line. Thanks.

My username on Ebay is "D2OZ" since I own a 72 Gran Torino Sport with Ram Air and the part prefix is just that. I thought it would be a neat tie-in to the Maverick sight and it's super easy to type. My Dad headed up to Carlisle this morning and I'll be going up this Thursday. We're at the beginning of row "G" spaces around G 5-10. Stop by and say Hi atleast. I won't bite...and you don't have to buy anything!
    Take care.

d2dz, does your pontiac friend do these himself or outsource? if he does them, how many would he have to do for it to sell at that price and be worth his while?

They are outsourced. I believe I would have have to do around 300 sets so you can see why it is a very pricey endeavor to say the least.

I would say you probably wouldn't sell 300 sets at that price. Now if they were $10 a pair....:D

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
hum? i could make Carbon fiber ones for less then that.... even though the price of CF is going way though the roof now it would be still cheaper and i woundn't have to make 300 pcs. but i guess everyone wants shiny chrome so nevermind

Not necessarily...I painted mine body color on my blue car and really like it. I think you should get us a price on some cf ones. :)

Just a thought, but is there any way to track down who made them for ford originally? If they are still in business maybe they still have the dies/molds?

Derek; I would be interested in the CF boomerangs. I have a pair of painted ones, but the CF ones would be great.....would not corrode or pit. Thanks,

    Earl
