    They started in 72. I have a NOS 72 door that has stamped mounts for either location.

    Mystery solved..thx Dennis...did they start with the bumper gaurds in 72?

    Except for some finer detailng the Engine and bay are pretty much done, as close to "bone" stock as it can be.
