A friend of mine is the original owner of a 72 Grabber with that same paint and trim. His is a 302/3-spd on the floor with the Saddle Tan interior and high-back seats. It's been sitting in a garage for the past 20+ years. I've been trying to buy it from him for the past 5 years, no luck yet.

There was not much to add to the build this weekend except for going to the pull yard and picking up some trim pieces. We also could not find a rotisserie to borrow or loan so we purchased one after alot of wheeling and dealing. So we are in a holding pattern till we recieve the rotisserie.

    On a side note:

I would like to thank everyone that as PM'd or called with helpful information and willing to give up parts that I am looking for. I have been on many forums from late model mustangs to 4 wheel drives and never have met a group of people that was more will to give helpful information and go out of the way to make sure you do it right. It is a very tight knit family on this forum. I hope to someday be able to meet some of you and thank you in person.

One thing about the rotisserie is you can rent it out when you are done. I've rented mine out for $25 a month and made back $400 on a $725 unit.

I finally got the rotisserie yesterday. So the parts hunting will have to slow down and back to work I go on the car. We got the suspension removed from the car and the placed on jack stands. My brother and then started to put the rotisserie together. After having to modify the mounts for the vehicle side, we were ready to start installing the car on to the rotisserie. With a little lifting the Maverick was on the rotisserie. We tightened all the bolts down and turned the Maverick on the rotisserie to make sure we had enough clearance to turn the car completely over. It is now ready for media blasting. I will post pictures later today.

Just when things started moving again. I will be leaving this Sunday for San Salvador to be the company representative for a Heavy C-check being performed on one of our planes. So this will put a 3 week slow down on the project. Just wondering what shipping is from Brazil to San Salvador????

Looks like your parts will be there tomorrow! Just in time. Please let me know when all that arrives. Have a safe trip to San Salvador.

Keyed deadbolt on both sides of the door to the garage and a locked door to the basement. I do wonder how long I can get away with this without suspicion or him finding out. I really hope that I can pull it off but the length of time to get this done will be a long time.

Awesome! Hope you can pull it off. I'm sure at some point, he will ask why the garage is always locked, when he comes over....

Where did you get the rotisserie from. Little different from the others I have seen.

The company that I manufacturers it is called Roto Body. I did not purchase it through them. I found it on sale through Ecklers for about $125.00 more than if I made it myself. I figured the amount of time for me to cut and weld everything would not be worth what the difference was. It was on sale for $899.00. I did upgrade and purchased the deluxe version with the bigger wheels. I figured I would need them to get to help with getting the whole thing on a trailer to media blast.

I figured I would give an update on the progress of the build. I have been out of town for about a month. I was is Moab for the 25th Anniversary of the Jeep Cherokee. The wife and I have a really nice build Cherokee so it was a have to event. We spent a week in Moab enjoying the event. To top of the great week our Cherokee was voted "Best Built". That is quit an honor for me. I also found out that our Cherokee is in the current issue of CRAWL Magazine in a trail run and we will be a feature Jeep in the next issue.

As soon as the fun began it soon ended and we had to come home. But I had to leave the next morning for San Salvador for business. I spend three weeks there.

When I got home it was time to go back to work on the build. My brother and I gathered the parts that would need to go to media blasting and set up an appointment. We loaded up the car and the parts and delivered Monday morning. They had the car done late Tuesday and it was moved to the shop for epoxy primer to protect the car from getting surface rust while we are working on the body. We picked the car up this evening and took it home.

Now the work really starts. I am going to order two rear quarter panels and the right side rocker. I am also going to look for another left front fender and a passenger door. I believe the door can be fix pretty easy but figure that try to have as little filler as possible.

    Here are some pictures:
