    glad everyone is ok, sounds pretty big area of the country

    cant say ive ever been in an earthquake, so i have no idea what its like

    $hit me and my wife felt it woke both of us up didnt no what the hell was going on...
    and i dont care to feel it again if you wont to no the truth.............

    I read in an article that the type of soil and ground structure throughout the Midwest is more conducive for the vibrations traveling farther distances than the geological structure in CA. The force of a quake seems to be more concentrated in CA and more spreadout in the Midwest.

    This email was forwarded to me this morning morning from my brother who works for the State Geological Survey (or something like that). The pics were in PDF format so i had to change them to JPG and I couldn't get the second one to come out in color so i had to add some text to them ;)
