    Guess I'm asleep at the switch....................should have been decreased instead of increased...................although it did increase accessability.....

    It is really made for fitting many different applications and also not every car is exactly the same as the next.
    When you set them up, kind of like setting the settings on a panhard bar;
    you need to have on all four tires............now attach the bars with both ends secure (each bar has both left hand and right hand threads) then tighten the bar up...........not so much that you can't pull the pins......to just before that happens........you can still turn the bars with you hands.
    Now........................if I were to raise that car on a jack stand or with a 4 poster hoist..................and let the tires hang free (not on the ground) you would be unable to turn the bars, and not be able to release the pins that hold them.....................this is what the bars/export brace is doing, just preventing too much flex...................the same for the MCB. Remember that one of the strongest shapes in our universe is the triangle, and if you use the export and MCB together..............that's exactly what you have.
    A panhard bar works in exactly the same way and you set it up the same way, because I know what happens when you set it up when the tires are not on the ground............................and believe me............you wouldn't be happy with the consequences............been there and done that.

    Just to keep things in perspective... WHICH of those kits do you have on your maverick and would it fit a stock configuration.

    The one on the Maverick in the picture is the Falcon brace. My Maverick has not been modified in the firewall............just shaved the towers....so nothing has been moved since it let the factory.
    The MCB is adjustable, so take a measurement and choose your posion.
    If you are serious about using MPG's export or MCB or both..............give them a call and they will help
    you make the best decission on which one to get.....................yes, it will fit a stock Maverick.

    wow, nice car.
    based on everything I've read I'm kinds of leaning towards the heimed links. seems like if it's tired in a triangle it would be pretty strong.

    This has been a very interesting thread, and good seeing different designs and the thinking behind them. It has changed my mind along the way about using heim joints as a possibility, especially with the ability to load them and limit travel.

    Still going to go with what I have in mind (MC bar/ one piece export brace), more due to style thing, and the thinking that it will be a vast improvement ... not necessarily max effort needed.
