This is Jack, but I will answer to nearly anything. One lady at the Gathering thought I was Ward. I don't understand how she confused us. It wasn't like I had 15 marshmellows stuffed in my mouth or anything. :biglaugh:

Wow is all I can say. We just got home. 4139 miles on the truck. 1918 miles 1 way. We are beat and probably are going to sleep for a week...or at least til 8 a.m. tomorrow. Truck and trailer still need to be emptied.

I keep saying the previous Gathering was the best, but somehow every year is better than the last.

I sincerely want to thank Tony and Terry Hahn for all there hard work, but I would be remiss if I didn't also thank their wives, and the rest of their family and friends for all pitching in and putting together a great show for us. You know that anyone can put together a get together but to be the exceptional hosts that they were is going beyond what was expected.

We are already making plans for next year. I would suggest everyone else start doing the same.

Glad you guys made it home safe & sound. Hope there were no more tire issues. I can't imagine a road trip like that. Rest up. You & Ruth deserve it. You guys took on a huge amount of work, putting everything together for Saturday. Great job!

It was a pretty uneventful trip home. Wasn't too sure it was going to be that way though. Got fuel the night before at Krogers in Somerset. On Sunday morning we left and started for home. Going up a hill we started losing power and laying down a wall of black exhaust smoke. Really thick, every time it downshifted. As soon as we got to the top and it shifted back up it stopped. Did this all the way through Ky. and into Tennessee. Got down to less than 1/4 tank so we stopped for fuel. After we left we still had a little bit of black smoke coming out uphill, but shortly after it quit. No more all the way home. We're thinking we got some bad diesel in Somerset.
Good to see all of you guys. Looking forward to next year.
Looking forward to seeing your car Earl. Hope you enjoy the Roundup. Keep Frank out of trouble up there.
Jim, nice Sprint. Maybe we'll see a new engine next year.:)

I filled up with diesel at Kroger also. The Kroger I went to was down by Krystal's in a shopping center.

I think that was the one I used also. That's the only thing I could think of. It was really thick. I couldn't even see behind me out the right side.
